Hi! I’m Madelien, though the only person who ever calls me by my full name is my mum when she’s very upset. Everyone else knows me as Maddie or Mads.

I’m a creative, mostly art, sometimes copy, and have worked with some weird and wonderful people at some wonderful and weird places such as MullenLowe, Publics, BBH and Mother.

I've always wanted to travel the world. So after months of planning and a strict diet of water and noodles, I said goodbye to my flat, handed in my notice, and jumped on the plane to my first stop: New Zealand.
This was the 6th of March 2020. Who would have thought boarders would close just a little under two weeks later?

Thankfully, I managed to stick around and travel most of Aotearoa.

I helped establish Waikato Screen, the regional film office supporting national and international productions across the Waikato. I also spend my spare time running a small film festival called Misty Flicks, which celebrates local storytelling and emerging talent.

I am available for freelance work in New Zealand and the UK.
